Great not so little breakfast this morning at Cafelato. We kept driving past this place and always said we need to stop off some time. The service was great and the waitress went out of her way to make sure you were happy. The food itself tasted amazing, unfortunately we ordered way too much so we had to take the french toast to go. Would recommend to anyone and will be back again.

The food is absolutely amazing! To start off, the drinks were superb, followed by the freshly cooked food which was perfect! We had the Full English breakfast and the American breakfast, the pancakes were so fluffy and is by far the best i’ve had. This place is a gem. Top service and top food.

Passing through town and looking for breakfast, we stopped here. The service was great and attentive! The americanos were delicious and the food was great quality and well prepared. There wasn’t a long wait for anything. We ordered The American and eggs and bacon on toast - very yummy! The pancakes were so fluffy and the portions were generous. Highly recommend!

Popped into this little cafe whilst waiting for my cars service. Ordered the breakfast, with some adjustments, which posed no problems with the staff. The girls that were serving were very friendly and helpful. The facilities are spotlessly clean. Highly recommend and would come again.

Cafelato has been my favorite cafe since day one in Colchester It’s an independent cafe, and the staff are REALLY friendly and helpful—no exceptions. The place is cozy and clean, with a delicious atmosphere and food. They also offer veggie options at a very fair price. I always go for the pancakes, although they have a full English breakfast and lunch options as well. The service is fast, and my friends and I spend time there almost every Sunday for brunch (plus students get 10% off!).

Honestly, this is the best cafe in Colchester and I've lived here 35 years!! The food is absolutely perfect, all good quality ingredients and tastes amazing. The service was so friendly and the atmosphere was really chilled and peaceful. I don't think I could rate this beautiful place any better!! And the prices are brilliant, under 9 for a full English!!! Hidden Gem right here

This cafe is one of my best finds here. I live like 15 mins from the cafe near to the University of Essex, so it’s like a gem for me. Being a student you have cravings to eat good food some days and this cafe seriously satisfied that craving of mine. It is a very cute space with outdoor seating so you can soak up some sun while devouring the food. The staff is extremely nice and will always greet you with a smile. I will definitely keep coming here as this might be the best breakfast place in town for me as it doesn’t hurt my pocket and you also get a student discount with your ID.

What a great spot! The staff were friendly, and a wide ranging menu was available for both breakfast and throughout the day. Coffee was lovely and food was delicious! Will be back.
